Deviation Actions

This is a very important message to all the deviants who have friends here. I won't say anyone's username, but try to take this as an example on what not to do.

I recently went into a predicament involving with one of my TRUE friends in dA. She was recently blocked by a "so-called friend" who refused to cope with the fact that one of her arts involves with a pairing she likes. That alone was enough for him to block her just because that she has something to like what he doesn't.
IT'S FUCKING BULLSHIT!!

This kind of action is petty and immature in front of a friend. Even if you not really are a friend, it's still unacceptable. It's hurtful knowing that you lost a follower and probably even someone you might speak to. But this not just the case for pairings, it's for everything else! What if you have a friend who loves stuff like My Little Pony but you don't? What if he/she finds out that you don't and go like "BAAAAWWWWWWW!!!:cries: YOU DON'T LIKE MY LITTLE PONY!!! WE CAN'T BE FRIENDS ANYMORE!!! I'M GONNA BLOCK YOU!!!" or if it's the other way around and like "YOU LIKE THOSE FUCKING PONIES?!!:rage: FUCK THIS SHIT, WE CAN'T FRIENDS ANYMORE!! I'M GONNA BLOCK YOU!!!" Does either of these actions feels good after the blocks? No! Just... no!! Either way, it makes them feel like whiny brats or inconsiderate assholes!!

Whether your are trying to protect/attack on anything what you/your friend stand for, blocking is not the answer! Neither is commenting because nobody wants to start flame war; the fact is that you/they have no right to make you/them stop what you/they like or draw. The true answer is by not caring, don't say anything or block a friend, swallow your damn prejudice, and move on!

...take me for example, I never want to get under anyone's skin, especially RyuXSakura fans. Even that I despise that shipping and prefers RyuXChun-Li, I never want to be an asshole by commenting bad things to say on what they like. Besides, I have no rights to make them stop liking that shipping and neither should other fellow RyuXChun-Li fans like me. Vice-versa as well. On the subject of friends, whether you are really my friend or not, if I finded out that you probably like something that I don't or vice-versa, say like that I really like Spider-Man 3(even though it's not a good movie) but you don't, just like the 75%(or a little more than that) of the audience, are those are reasonable enough for either of us to block each other?

There are two key words to understand: RESPECT and TOLERANCE
Even though we show alot of those here in dA, there's probably not enough to show for as far as I can tell. We may be still dealing with trolls, haters, or hackers even, but those are what purpose blocking actually does. It's not designed to block on who you're following or your friend just because they have something to like/dislike that you don't/do, it's designed to block who you don't know yet trolling you but you're refusing to deal with. Real friends or followers will always show RESPECT and TOLERANCE to each other because that's what friends or followers are for. In the end, I believe that if we all show our RESPECT and TOLERANCE to everyone else in dA, then deviantART will become the most peaceful and friendliest art site ever existed.

TOLERANCE Pass it on. A message foundation for a better life. ;)

That's pretty pathetic to block someone over a ship.
